USC Unofficial Website an Affiliate of ESPN?
Posted by The Danza on Jan 9, 2008
I stumbled across this website earlier while researching a little more on the ND-NBC and USC-ESPN/ABC connections that seem to running ridiculously rampant recently (nice alliteration, eh?). Apparently, ESPN hosts a website focused specifically on USC sports. No, I’m not talking about the team sections on the ESPN main site. No, this is a completely separate website with its own ESPN Insider Access that lets you use the same username and password for the Insider Access to the WeAreSC.com website and the main ESPN.com website. I wonder why ESPN/ABC doesn’t choose sides in professional sports? Why doesn’t ESPN have a deal with the Dallas Cowboys or the Boston Red Sox to show all of their games? Oh yeah, that’s right. Professional sports leagues regulate this type of thing to lessen the chance of a lengthened power disparity, because they want all of their teams to have relevance.

That is just absurd…
we bama fans are one’s to talk. our website is powered by jumpTVsports. talk about a conflict of interest.
It’s not just S. Cal, there are websites for several schools “affiliated” with ESPN. For example, http://www.thebigspur.com is the Univ. of South Carolina affiliate.
wow ))
its very reasonable article.
